Project Description

I developed increased production techniques using the KANBAN system, (a Japanese work  system that can be compared to the assemble line of the American Henry Ford style, only putting workstations into “work cells” which creates efficiencies in production.) This increase in production capabilities led the company to expansion for the Cambritt Cookie Company into the merger with Main Street Muffins, and finally into Main Street Gourmet. Shift leader of approximately 20 employees per shift, opening 3 shifts, and managed training new employees on equipment and work systems. Implementing an Inventory Ordering method based on JIT (Just in Time) system of ordering using product sales and the scheduling of the calendar to the production floor as an inventory calculator.
